Follow the ISO/IEC 17025 training course on measurement uncertainty and method validation and better estimate how reliable results are.

Take the course 'ISO/IEC 17025: Measurement uncertainty and method validation' and estimate how reliable lab results are

Every ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory is subject to requirements 7.2 (Selection, verification and validation of methods) and 7.6 (Evaluation of measurement uncertainty).

With this training course, you learn how to meet those requirements and how to better assess the reliability of lab results – essential skills for every lab technician. This course came about after many questions from participants in our other ISO/IEC 17025 courses.

What is a laboratory quality management system?

A laboratory quality management system ensures that your lab guarantees correct and valid results.

Labs use a quality management system to perform quality testing and calibrations.

Does your lab also want to set up a quality management system? Then ISO/IEC 17025, the international quality management standard for laboratories, is the ideal tool for that.

Take our ISO/IEC 17025 training on measurement uncertainty and method validation and learn to estimate the reliability of results.

What will you learn in this course?

You will learn:

  • about the different possibilities for method validation and for determining measurement uncertainty;
  • how to choose the best approach for your organisation;
  • how to calculate the various parameters;
  • what the parameters mean;
  • how to translate the parameters to meet clients’ needs.

What does this NBN training look like?

The theory is kept to a minimum in this course

  • The training is very technical, with a strong focus on statistics.
  • You put theory into practice in a very hands-on way.
  • Both measurement uncertainty and method validation primarily involve statistical information and calculations.
  • The training focuses on practical (calculation) examples and exercises.
  • You work on your own laptop that has Excel installed.
